Forget about constructing or completing Amaravati, Jagan Government is in the process of leasing and selling the capital assets.
The government had decided to sell 304.5 acres of Amaravati at the rate of 10 Crore Rupees per acre. While the government says it will use the money for capital construction, the farmers are unable to trust a government notorious for the diversion of funds.
Meanwhile, the Government also decided to lease the towers constructed for Group-D employees to VIT University to earn 10 Crores per annum.
The leasing will start with one tower and the plan is to lease all the fifty three towers in Amaravati in the coming days. If the government is committed to continue Amaravati as per the High Court’s order, it will need these buildings for Capital purposes.
