Amaravati gets 10,000 Crore loan?

With central giving assurance only to fund the government buildings like high court, secretariat, Raj Bhavan, Assembly etc., Andhra Pradesh government is on a look out to funds for the development of infrastructure and basic amenities in Amaravati. It is reliably learnt that the state government is in talks with HUDCO to fund the systems of Power, drinking water supply, sanitation and housing.

HUDCO had in principle agreed to fund 10000 Crore for Amaravati for this purposes. The official announcement over this is likely to come after more such sittings between the state government officials and representatives of HUDCO.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation stone for the capital on 22nd of this month. The state government is adamant to start the construction works very soon and complete the first phase construction by 2018.
