Amaravati Iconic Buildings Still Awaits Impressive Designs

The architect of Amaravati Government Complex, Norman Fosters and Partners came up with the conceptual designs of the Government Complex which will come up on 900 acres in the capital area. But then the designs of the Iconic buildings of Assembly and High Court are still disappointing.

The initial feedback is that they are not up to the mark for the Iconic Buildings. But then, CRDA officials say that these are just primary designs and the final designs will have more changes. Earlier, Maki Associates have come up with the designs of Iconic Buildings.

After the bad response, Maki Associates were shown door from the project and Norman Fosters and Partners was brought in place. But still, the designs were not up to the satisfactory levels. The government is keen on completing the construction of the government complex by 2018 end.

The architects will be sitting with the senior officials of the Secretariat along with the CRDA officials. They will be identifying the shortcomings in the Interim Secretariat and will ensure that they are not repeated in the Permanent buildings.
