IT and HR Minister Nara Lokesh spoke to the media on Wednesday and reaffirmed that Amaravati has legal ratification. He said this legal backing is why the previous government failed to shift the capital away from Amaravati.
Lokesh stated that Chandrababu and his government had made clear promises to Amaravati farmers. He added that development in Amaravati mirrors progress seen in economic regions and Bhogapuram. According to him, visible changes occur within a single day.
The IT and HR Minister said the existing Airport is inadequate and cannot handle rising passenger volumes. He explained that plans for a new Airport and a sports hub aim to accelerate development and strengthen Amaravati’s infrastructure.
Lokesh also confirmed that the second phase of land pooling has begun. He emphasised that Amaravati will continue as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The government is moving ahead with long term development plans.
