Amaravati Streets to have historical names

Once you take a drive to Amaravati, the upcoming Capital of Andhra Pradesh, you will feel like driving down the history lane. The State government is keen to name roads, buildings, parks and traffic junctions in Amaravati after historical figures, ancient kingdoms, and important Buddhist sites.

The government already appointed a committee with professionals, experts, and historians to explore the names depicting the rich cultural heritage of the region. Once the committee submits its report, the government will start the renaming spree and make sure the names are popular by the time, the Capital is fully functional.

Naidu’s government is keen on upholding the cultural heritage of the region right from the start. That is the idea behind naming the Capital region as Amaravati. If the government executes this perfectly, Naidu will get a place in the history books of the state for upholding the rich cultural heritage of the state for the next generations.
