Gannavaram Airport Gears Up for First International Service

President of India, Pranab Mukherjee had signed the Union Cabinet Resolution of Promoting Gannavaram Airport to International Airport. The First International Flight from the Airport will fly in the next three months. The Terminal will be readied by July 31st.

Emirates will be flying the first International Service from Gannavaram. It is planning a bi-weekly service to Dubai from the Airport. Since Dubai connects to all countries like North America, Canada, Australia and others, this service will be very useful.

Once the Terminal is ready, Emirates will take a final decision about the launching of the new service. Besides Gannavaram, Tirupati Airport is also accorded International Status. This status for both the airports will come into force from August 1st.
