Minister of Municipal Administration & Urban Development P Narayana has shared that tenders will be called for capital development by the end of January and the works will begin in February second week.

The minister was touring the capital area where he surveyed the administrative towers near Nelapadu. Later, he addressed the media.

Narayana disclosed that tenders were already called for 40 works. Taking the opportunity, he expressed his anger towards YSRCP government that left the people scared.

We wanted our capital to be among the top 5 cities in the world. So we got the Iconic Towers designed by Norman Foster, he shared.

Narayana reminded that their government had started construction of 4053 apartments prior to 2019 for officers, employees and judges. The past government stalled construction as revenge, said Narayana.

We had plans to build the assembly at a height of 250 mts and make it into a tourist spot when the sessions are not on, said the minister. To ensure all state-level officers to stay at one place, we planned for 5 administrative towers, he added.

We had designed for electric wires, water pipes and drainage pipes to be underground, minister Narayana told the scribes.
