Amit Shah sends a clear message to TRS

The rumours about a possible TRS and BJP alliance is in news for a long time. Recently there was a leak from TRS sources that BJP reached out to CM KCR for a Rajya Sabha berth but the latter refused it. BJP President Amit Shah who is in Hyderabad clarified about a possibility of allying with TRS.

“TRS did not make any effort to connect itself with the BJP or the Center. They did not approach us neither we. The BJP will prove its strength and emerge as a force to reckon with in the 2019 general elections in Telangana,” Amit Shah said to the media. The statement has a clear message that BJP is not desperate for new alliances in Telangana.

Amit Shah announced that TDP alliance will continue in both the Telugu States. “We are friends and we will continue working together,” Amit Shah said. Amit Shah also clarified that BJP will connect with all regional parties in a bid to garner their support to get several bills, including that pertaining to the Goods and Service Tax, passed in Parliament.
