Andhra Pradesh and Telangana To Go For Elections on 11th April

Election Commission of India had announced the Schedule for the General Elections and the Assembly Elections of Five States a little while ago. The Election will happen in Seven Phases and the result will be out on May 23rd for all the phases. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are going for the elections in the First Phase itself.

The Assembly Elections and Election for 25 Parliament Segments in Andhra Pradesh along with 17 Parliament Segments of Telangana will happen in the first phase and the Voting will take place on April 11th. That means we are just one month away from the elections in both the Telugu States.

The Elections in Andhra Pradesh are strategically held in the first phase itself so as not to give much time for Chandrababu Naidu. The Model Code of Conduct will come into force immediately and will last till the election process is complete. During this period, the Ruling Parties can not take any Policy Decisions.
