AP Assembly’s surprising decision over Roja

Andhra Pradesh Assembly which discussed on Roja’s issue for about four hours took a surprising decision. When every one thought the government will go for another suspension on Roja, the house gave her one more chance for her to appear before the Privileges committee and explain her stance.

The house will decide on her future after that meeting and till then she will stand suspended from the house. The house had accepted the apologies of other YSR Congress MLAs – Jyothula Nehru, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. The house temporarily deferred a decision on Kodali Nani for now but will decide up on that later due to the seriousness of the comments made.

Roja previously skipped the four meetings of the Privileges Committee meetings. She already announced that there is no chance of asking for apology. On the other side, the high court will also decide up on the issue tomorrow. Assembly affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu once again reiterated that the house and speaker has all rights to take action on any member for any amount of time.
