AP Becomes Naya Bihar: TDP Leaders Attacked in Broad Daylight

Today is the last day for Nominations for MPTC and ZPTC Elections in Andhra Pradesh. Alleged Ruling Party Leaders and Cadre resorted to attacks on Opposition Party Candidates to prevent them from filing nominations. The Ruling Party is not in a mood of contests and wants as much as in its kitty via unanimous results.

What happened in Macherla is even stunning. TDP Leaders – Budda Venkanna and Bonda Uma are in Macherala since a candidate’s nomination was rejected on technical grounds yesterday. Some YSR Congress Leaders knowing that followed them on bikes with iron rods and sticks. The driver became vigilant and tried to speed the car.

One YSRCP activist attacked the car with a wooden log and damaged the car window. High Court lawyer Kishore who was inside the car is grievously injured. The Gunman who is along with them tried to scare the man with a gun but he even tried to attack the Gunman who fled from the spot. All this happened while the Police are seeing.

“Lawlessness is prevailing in Andhra Pradesh like never before. It was almost like the state became a Naya Bihar. It looks like the Ruling Party is afraid of elections and wants to win them using brute force. Police are doing nothing for the peaceful conduct of the elections,” TDP alleges.
