AP govt solves Local Status issue!

Andhra Pradesh government had issued a G.O. which makes the children of government employees who completed their studies or pursuing their studies in Hyderabad as Local to Amaravati. This will enable government employees to shift to the capital region with out the fear of losing the local status.

The state government may also have to pursue the center to bring in an amendment to Article 371D which makes children of AP government employees who are currently studying in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy as ‘local’ students to Telangana.

They will become ‘non-local’ when they migrate to Vijayawada and Guntur. As a result, their educational and job opportunities will be affected. So this G.O. is in the direction of dispelling the doubts of the employees who are reluctant to shift to Amaravati.
