TS non payments leave AP in financial doldrums

Andhra Pradesh government had written a letter to the Central government over the Power dues of Telangana. AP claims that Telangana had used power to the tune of 1171 Crore since the state division but is faltering on the payment of bills.

However T GENCO says the bills are inflated and the supply of its hydel power is not taken in to account but AP claims it did not get any such power. Due to this dispute, Telangana is not paying the bills which is leading power utilities of AP in to financial doldrums.

AP government had asked the center to immediately intervene of theatened to stall the power supply to Telangana. So far Telangana government had only paid 100 Crore towards these arrears in two installments.
