AP plans Survey for clarity on Shifting employees

Andhra Pradesh government had decided to conduct a survey among government employees regarding shifting of the administration from Hyderabad to Amaravati. Employees will be handed over a proforma which seeks details like their family details, studies of children, their interest in shifting etc.

The government will take further decision on the shifting after evaluating the survey details. Government is planning to shift at least 10000 employees and their families by this year end. Government will also be giving a clarity on contentious issues like local status etc before taking the final decision on shifting.

Tthe state government already decided to shift camp offices of the chief minister, heads of departments, the chief secretary, the DGP and a few ministers to Vijayawada with some governance infrastructure in place.
