Anna gets life threat from Facebook!

Leading Social Activist Anna Hazare who is currently agitating against the government’s planned Land Acquisition Bill has received life threats on social networking site Facebook. Two NRIs living in Canada, Agan Vidhu and his friend Neil – are threatening to come down to India and shoot Hazare dead.

They reportedly sent these messages to Ashok Gautam who is associated with Anna Hazare’s movement.Tracing their IP addresses, Police booked cases on them under sections 506(2) of the IPC and 66 A of the IT Act. We are not sure how the Police are going to act on the accused who are currently residing in Canada.

Anna Hazare is planning a Padayatra of 1100 Kmprotesting the ‘anti-farmer’ Bill. This Padayatra will span over a period of three months and is set to begin from Gandhi Ashram in Wardha to Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.
