Another Quid Pro Quo Deal by Jagan?

Senior Journalist Ramesh Kandula smells a Quid-Pro-Quo deal in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Government. A few days ago, Andhra Pradesh Government has released a G.O. issuing payment of 96 Lakh Rupees to Senior Advocate S Niranjan Reddy for taking up the cases on Amaravati on the behalf of the State Government.

The irony is that the Amaravati Metropolitan Development Authority which was set up to oversee the development of the proposed capital region was asked to pay the fee of the lawyer who will argue against Amaravati. Ramesh Kandula pointed to yet another issue in this payment.

Senior Advocate S Niranjan Reddy is taking up the cases of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the CBI and ED Courts. Kandula suspects if the Government is resorting to Quid Pro Quo by using same lawyer as the state counsel in Amaravati cases and being paid huge amounts.

“Isn’t it inappropriate and smack of quid pro quo?” he questioned. Many users in social media are pointing out it as a conflict of interest.
