AP aims to strengthen Power Sector!

Cash Strapped Andhra Pradesh is keen on strengthening its Power sector by decreasing the transmission and distribution losses. The state under Chandrababu Naidu had already made significant stride in improving the power supply in the state.

The state power utilities have decided to expedite the ongoing projects by investing around Rs 30,000 crore and strengthen the transmission and distribution network in the next four years. This will add an additional generation capacity of 3850 MW needing investments of 17340 Crore.

The state government is keen on achieving this as there will substantial increase in the demand of Power once activity begins in the capital region. It may be reminded that even the Prime Minister recently lauded the efforts of the TDP government in power sector.
