AP BJP In Neck Deep Distress

BJP High Command had instructed the state leadership of the party to work in tandem with TDP government since the Special Package is announced. The high command is also sitting on the decision of the new party President much to the disappointment of a section which is pursuing its anti-TDP agenda in the party. Further, all the leaders have gone into hiding as people feel they are cheated especially in the Special Status issue.

BJP local leaders and cadre are disappointed that they are not getting their due share in the nomination posts in the state while TDP can not afford to give them the importance while ignoring its own leader who are out of power over a decade. The Party forces are in a big dilemma over the future course of action especially as the local elections are fast approaching.

On the other side, there is a buzz that the existing party president and Vishakapatnam MP, Kambhampati Haribabu, will be allowed to continue, while others say that the party will appoint a new leader once the UP Assembly elections are over. The appointment will only give an idea about BJP’s strategy for 2019 elections.
