AP Capital may not have hills!

The upcoming state capital of Andhra Pradesh may be devoid of hills. The State government has decided to locally procure the rocks required for filling low-lying areas and to build roads in the capital. The revenue department already started quarrying the hills belonging to them for roads and other construction activities. Since there are several agricultural lands in the capital region, it is important that they should be leveled with mud and rock.

Due to the high cost of transportation, there is no alternative than to quarry the rocks available in the region. Some of the villages in the capital region also face the problem of Inundation and the irrigation experts have also recommended filling the inundation areas in the particular area to avoid problems in future.
