AP Capital: New constructions come to a stand still

The CRDA Act which is in place now with powers to sanction all permissions with regard to construction of buildings and approvals for layouts may create new problems in the capital region. The CRDA forbids any construction in the capital region with out its permission.

Instructions have gone to the municipal department and all panchayats not to sanction permissions to new houses or change of designs within the capital region and direct all such applications to CRDA. The region witnesses more than Rs 100 crore worth building activity happens every month in the VGTM-UDA limits and nearly 10,000 units are being constructed by private developers.

And with this new rule in place every thing will come to a stand still. Real Estate developers are also cautious not to get in to trouble unless clear instructions are given. There is a buzz that every construction will be put on hold until the Master plan of the capital is tabled in six months time.
