AP Express all set to become Telangana Express!

The ongoing Express Train between Hyderabad and New Delhi ‘AP Express’ will very soon have its name changed to ‘Telangana Express’. Usually the trains plying from the state capitals to New Delhi will be named after the state. Accordingly this Express from the then state capital of United Andhra Pradesh to New Delhi is named as AP Express.

Telangana government is pursuing the name change with the central government since the state bifurcation. We are now said the change is confirmed by the Ministry of Railways and it is communicated to the state government. The name change official order will be issued very soon.

The ongoing Express train between Hyderabad and Sirpur Kagaz Nagar is called Telangana Express. To avoid confusion, the train now will have a new name – Komaram Bheem Express. The recently announced AC Express from Vijayawada to New Delhi via Nagpur will now be called AP Express according to sources.
