AP focuses on improving air connectivity!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is now focusing on improving the air connectity from and to the state. The Government is planning to develop one Greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram, near Visakhapatnam and upgrade a few more in the State.

The government is planning to modernize Tirupati, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry airports to international standards. The State Government is also planning to develop six no-frills airports at Nagarjuna Sagar, Guntur district and Donakonda in Prakasam district.

Regional airports are to be developed in Kuppam, Chittor district; Dagadarthi in Nellore district; and Orvakallu in Kurnool district. These airports will help the tourism and business activity in the state. The regional and no frills airports will help in cargo transport of perishable goods.
