AP Government Announces Relief to Telugu Film Industry

Andhra Pradesh Government had extended some incentives to the struggling Telugu film industry. The cabinet meeting which happened this morning okayed a ‘Restart Package’ to the industry and the details of which are yet to be revealed.

The government also decided to provide loans to 1100 movie theaters with an exemption on interests. As per the demand of industry biggies, the fixed power charges of the theaters were waived for a period of three months – April, May, and June.

The complete details of these incentives will be known only when the official G.O. will be released with finer details. It is known to our readers that the Telangana Government also promised some incentives to the industry before the GHMC elections.

These announcements will come as a relief to the industry which is hoping to come back on to its feet from Christmas
