AP government dropped Land Acquisition Plan!

Andhra Pradesh government was earlier telling that they will opt for Land Acquisition in villages where farmers are reluctant to give their lands. However it is said that the government had given up the idea. More than 32000 acres out of the total 33000 odd notified lands were given in the land pooling.

We are reliably told that the government is planning to make the left over lands as Green Belt which means the land will only be used for agriculture in future too and can not be sold or used for any commercial purpose like Real Estate.

Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is in the process of making agreements with the farmers who gave their consent in land pooling. They are also distributing the promised compensation cheques simultaneously. They will be give government authorized land pooling certificates for promised land share by the end of this year.
