AP government’s big shock to Telangana employees!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had extended the retirement age of employees from 58 to 60 years after coming in to power where as there is no such facility in Telangana. So some of the employees of Telangana have chosen AP as their option to get two years extra service.

However APNGOs have demanded that such employees should not be given the extra service benefit. News is emerging that Andhra Pradesh government conceded to the demand of APNGOs and is in consultation with Law department in implementing such rule that only AP natives get extended service benefits.

700 such employees of Telangana nativity exercised AP option just to enjoy the extended service benefit. Most of these employees are nearing their retirement age. As there is no provision to change the options now, this issue has the potential to become one more controversy between both the states.
