AP Govt Proves Public-Friendly Governance

In its efforts toward citizen-friendly governance, the Andhra Pradesh government has made another landmark decision. It has been decided to remove red-carpet podiums and partitions in sub-registrar offices.

Until now, sub-registrar offices had red-carpet podiums like courts. This rule had been followed for ages. The government has decided to revamp sub-registrar offices to resemble normal government offices.

The intention behind the decision is to remove the differentiation between officials and the public created by podiums, carpets, and partitions. The NDA government believes it should serve the people and not be negligent in addressing their needs. Additionally, it has also been decided to serve water and tea to the public in sub-registrar offices if needed.

As per the order, Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) RP Sisodia, along with other officials, supervised the removal of podiums and partitions at the sub-registrar office in Vijayawada. He stated that the feudal-themed ambience in all sub-registrar offices will be removed, and they will be revamped across the state within a couple of days.

Sisodia also mentioned that the government wants to ensure transparency in the work culture at registrar offices and warned that if this is not maintained, the government will take stringent action.

Overall, people are welcoming this decision by the government and have called it a much-needed move.
