AP grabs big project from Bengal

Andhra Pradesh is on the verge of getting a Russian Technology Nuclear Power Plant which was originally planned to be setup in West Bengal. Mamatha Banerjee government is not responding to the expectations of the Central government and so AP CM Chandrababu is trying to grab it for the truncated state.

The center had confirmed that the discussions between the department of Atomic Energy and AP government are at an advanced stage. Along with the government of India is also planning to setup a fuel fabrication facility to manufacture fuel for the new nuclear power plants.

The land required for the projects are currently being identified. The Government of India refuse to divulge the details of the installed capacity, financial outlay and employment opportunities and time frame of completion regarding these projects.
