AP High Court Cancels Jagan’s Insane Order

The YCP-led AP government had passed many controversial and unpopular orders in its tenure thus far. One of the flagship insane orders is the G.O. no. 1 which restricts political parties from holding public meetings in main roads.

This insane GO came under a whole lot of scrutiny and the Jagan government was lambasted for the same. The high court had also issued a stay on the same after a plea from CPI, TDP, and BJP which claimed this to be an anti-social order.

Cut to now, the AP high court has passed the final judgement on this highly controversial order.

The AP high court has cancelled the order and stated “this GO curbs the fundamental rights. It isn’t right to try and ap press the opposition parties in the state by ordering them not to hold public meetings in crowded places.”

The order has been cancelled now and it can no longer be enforced by the government.

The YCP government tried to irk Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh through this order multiple times by using police force to disrupt their public meetings. The same has been canceled by the high court now.
