Notification for 3 vacant MPTC, 2 ZPTC and 2 Panchayat seats has been issued on July 28. Ramakuppam, Karampudi, Vidavaluru MPTC polls will be held on August 12.
Pulivendula, Ontimittu ZPTC seats will also go for polls. Kondapudi, Kadiyapulanka will have panchayat elections. The state election commission has stated that nominations will be accepted between July 30 and August 1.
On August 12, MPTC and ZPTC elections will be held. The results will be declared on August 14. The panchayat elections will be held on August 10. The results will be out on the same day.
Incidentally, local body elections will be held in both Telugu states soon. The High Court has said that the elections must be held before end of September in Telangana.
Meanwhile, in AP, the local body polls will be held soon. The alliance government is gearing up for state-wide polls and intends to win big.
