AP mulls ration portability in CG way!

Andhra Pradesh government is planning to introduce Ration card portability in the state on the lines of Chhattisgarh. According to this new system, a consumer with Ration card can draw his ration from anywhere in the state starting next financial year.

Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunita and a team of officials recently visited Chhattisgarh and observed the portability system going on in there. This portability system is being operated in two districts of Chhattisgarh as a pilot project.

This system will be useful to migrant class when they reside in other places other than their native. Andhra Pradesh government has made radical changes to civil supplies in the state including making Aadhar mandatory for Ration Cards to eliminate Bogus Cards.
