AP police ahead of their TS counterparts!

While Telangana Police are still mulling over options of creating hotlines or safety apps for the safety of women in Hyderabad and other parts of the state. Andhra Pradesh Police have already working on a women safety app.

The development of the app is going on at a brisk pace. The app will be sending the signals of distess when a women presses designated keys from her mobile. This app is made with out dependency of internet in the mobile phone and the location of the victim will be traced with the mobile signals. The information will be sent to the police control room and from there to the local police station who will save the women immediately.

The app will tested in Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati as pilot project on the first phase and will be slowly extended to the entire state. They will also unleash a major publicity campaign about the app once it is ready.
