AP Serves Final Notice to Telangana

AP Genco has served a final notice to Telangana Genco to pay the 3138 Crore pending money. The actual amount is 4498 Crore but AP has to pay 1360 Crore to Telangana Genco. The notice said if the dues are not settled, the power supply from AP will be stopped from 31st of this month at 12 PM.

In the letter, AP Genco has also reminded how Singareni Collieries is stopping the supply of Coal to AP Power Projects due to the dues worth 1437 Crore. Telangana Genco, however, is in no mood to rush into the repayments.

It is of the opinion to go for outside purchases in case AP Power is stopped. In such case, AP Genco is likely to approach the Center or take the legal route to solve the issue which has become a huge burden to the already debt-ridden discoms of the state.
