AP to have its own data center!

Post the state bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh needs to have a separate data center and move all of its records from the existing data center in Hyderabad. Tech Savvy Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is planning a state of art data center which will cater as a central repository of the state, online delivery of services, citizen information portal, state intranet portal, remote management and service integration, and disaster recovery.

The state government is using advanced technologies like Hadoop, Big Data for this data center where various services to the citizens can be offered in a mouse click. Government is planning to install this data center at a place where there is a zero chance of earthquakes and cyclones and connect to the entire state using cloud technology.

The e-Governance Authority headed by the chief minister and will include 11 members, including the IT minister and the IT advisor will attempt to design the state-of-the-art SDC.
