AP to pay Salaries in Merged Mandals!

The Employees working in the Merged Mandals from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh will be taking their December salaries from Andhra Pradesh treasury. The transfer of these mandals is now totally complete and the employees will get December salary on January 1st from AP treasury.

This decision was taken by the Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao and the collectors of East and West Godavari districts. Notification of Andhra Pradesh’s Criminal Code Jurisdiction will be issued in these mandals in a week. To take up the administration affairs of these mandals, a Revenue Division office will be setup in Etikoppaka near Bhadrachalam very soon.

It is known that these 7 mandals (excluding Khammam Town) get submerged when Polavaram Project is constructed. Since it will be difficult to carry out rehabilitation works in these villages if they are in Telangana. So, these mandals are transferred to Andhra Pradesh for administrative convenience by a bill placed in Parliament in July month.
