AP to see a sea of Pharma investments!

The pharma industry spread in and around Uttarandhra had incurred a loss of 200 Crore due to the recent Hudhud Cyclone. This untoward loss came at a time when Pharma industry in Telangana is looking forward to move to Uttarandhra region which is a hub for pharma industry for several decades after the Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts. However analysts say that the truncated state still has the potential to attract more such industry with the upcoming Special Status promised to the state in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act.

The Special Status will bring lot of tax incentives and additionally the surplus power available in the state will be an added advantage for the industry to flourish here. Pharma investors are looking to invest in the unexplored districts of Chittoor, Ananathapur, Vijayawada and Guntoor districts. Easy availability of land in the state is also an advantage for the industry and availing other infrastructure facilities at affordable prices is also tempting the investors to Andhra Pradesh.
