AP to use Land Pooling formula for all purposes!

Cash Strapped Andhra Pradesh is planning to use Land Pooling for all its future projects which require land acquistion. The Land Pooling policy adopted by the government in capital notified villages is a huge success in which the government successfully got about 32000 acres.

Buoyed by the success, the state government is planning to use the same policy for major projects like Gannavaram Airport expansion and Greenfield airport at Bhogapuram. The farmers who met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for lands of Gannavaram airport expansion have asked the latter to give them a compensatory package on a par with the owners of Jareebu lands in the capital notified villages.

Gannavaram airport to be expanded to International standards need 470 acre of private and 59 acre of government land. The farmers are more interested in opting for Land Pooling than Land Acquisition indicates the success of the policy.
