AP will not pay for Bandobast in Hyd -Naidu

The Central government had finalized a bill of 1200 Crore for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for deploying Central forces in Hyderabad and remaining Telangana districts from the time of Telangana agitation in 2009. The expense between 2009 and 2014 came up to 1200 Crores.

A large number of central forces were deployed in Hyderabad in those days to maintain law and order during the agitation. The total amount is divided between both the Telugu States. Andhra Pradesh was asked to pay 500 Crore while Telangana is entitled to pay 700 Crore. However Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu refused to pay the 500 Crore as the entire force was utilised in Hyderabad and TS districts.

The state government also dashed a letter to the Center regarding their stand. This may spark another controversy between both the states which are already battling several issues after the state division.
