Arrogant IAS pic goes viral

In this digital age, there can be no moments or instances that can’t be captured and shared for the world to see. Such is the case of Dr Jagdish Sonkar, a 2013 batch IAS officer in Chhattisgarh, who was caught by camera at an inopportune time when he was present for a visit to a government hospital.

Dr. Sonkar was there for a routine inspection and in the course of the visit; he interacted with malnourished children who were being treated there. But during this interaction, the officer was caught resting his left foot on the steel rail of a hospital bed while talking to the mother of a sick child. The IAS officer has received lots of criticism after the image went viral. He has however defended his action as unintentional and avoidable.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister took cognizance of the matter and said that he would instruct the chief secretary to teach him manners.
