Is Jaitley Not Aware of Demonetization?

Is Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley not aware of Demonetization? is the question in discussion for a long time. Reserve Bank of India was asked this question and surprisingly the central bank refused to answer that. An RTI query asked RBI if they have taken the opinion of the Finance Minister and Chief Economic Adviser, Aravind Subramaian before the Demonetization.

But then RBI replied that it can not answer the question. The Central Bank also added that the issue do not come under the purview of the RTI. When asked if any minister or official opposed the decision of Demonetization, RBI just replied that it is a ficticious question.

Similar questions were asked to the Prime Minister’s Office and the office of the Finance Minister but then they did not reply to the query. These answers and the strange silence will only give rise to more speculations and rumours about the country’s most radical decision since the independence.
