Assembly and Secretariat may shift to Hitech City!

Looks like Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will not sleep until the Assembly and Secretariat will be shifted out of the current location. Earlier he had eyed the Chest hospital area and Bison Polo Grounds for this purpose.

But Chest hospital lands are in legal tangles while Defense ministry demanded a whopping 600 Crore for the 60 acres of Bison Polo Grounds. It is now said that KCR is planning to shift Assembly and Secretariat to Hitech City, the IT hub of Hyderabad.

It is said that hundreds of acres of government land is available in an area behind Shilparamam near Hitech City. However experts feel that such move will increase the traffic congestion in the IT hub which may be detrimental for the development of Hyderabad as a Global destination in future.
