At Last, Vijayasai Reddy Gets A Consolation Prize!

YSR Congress Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy was initially named in the list of vice-chairmen of the Rajya Sabha panel. This panel leads the house when the Vice-Chairman is not in the house.

Sai Reddy took to Twitter and profusely thanked the Vice-Chairman and Central Government biggies only to find his name missing in the final list.

It has come as a huge humiliation. But then, he got a consolation prize now as he got elected as the Member of the Committee on Public Accounts (PAC).

He himself posted it on Twitter and thanked PM Modi, Ministers Piyush Goyal, and Prahalad Joshi. This has come as a consolation for Sai Reddy after initial humiliation.

Traditionally, Opposition parties are given prominence as the committee scrutinizes the appropriation Accounts of the Government of India and the reports of the CAG thereon.

The ruling parties, these days are giving these posts to their friendly Opposition parties to make the scrutiny process easy. Vijayasai Reddy has got it in that quota.
