ATMs to accept Police complaints in AP

Andhra Pradesh Police are working on implementing a new system in which any one can file a police complaint from a nearby ATM. This system is in place in Bangalore and now it is being planned for AP too.

There will be kiosks in the ATM centers. Complainants can walk in to those kiosks and narrate their complaint to the video camera installed there. There will be complaint-receiving stations which will send the clips to the police control room, which in turn will forward those complaints to the jurisdictional police. The audio-visual complaint will be converted into an FIR

The kiosks manufacturing company representatives met AP DGP JV Ramudu recently and demonstrated these machines. Ramudu took good interest in those system and forwarded the proposal to the Chief Minister.
