Austria to fund KCR’s dream project!

Austria government had come forward to give One Lakh Euros to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s dream project of cleaning Hussainsagar. Telangana government had roped in an experts team from Austria to study the project and prepare a detailed project.

The report was recently submitted to the Telangana government and Austria government also agreed to fund the project with loan. The state government will be writing a letter to the center to permit the loan.

Telangana government is expecting the permission in 2-3 weeks. The cleaning of Hussainsagar will begin in the next summer. On the other side there are severe concerns from environmentalists over this project. Few NGOs have alleged that the water levels in Hussainsagar already got depleted by 2 meters due to the government’s de-watering measures in the lake.
