The election campaign has started off on an interesting note in Telangana and the stage is being prepared for the coming election on the 30th of November, with the counting to be held on the 3rd of December.
Now, Mohammed Azharuddin has declared his affidavit as he filed his nomination from Jubilee Hills on Congress ticket.
Azharuddin declared that he and his wife have assets worth Rs 18.95 crores. Rs 10.42 crores of these assets are in the name of Azharuddin and the rest are in the name of his wife.
He has also declared that there are a total of 9 cases against him. While 5 of these are cheating cases, two cases are cheque bounce charges and the other two cases are physical abuse.
Azharuddin is one of the most talked-about politicians in Telangana, given the corruption charges he faced while he was the chairman of Hyderabad Cricket Association. It has to be seen how he will fare in Jubilee Hills constituency this time around.
