Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao’s son, KT Ramarao is the de facto Chief Minister of the state holding five important portfolios, the highest than any other minister in KCR’s cabinet. We have seen KCR taking the back seat in the last couple of years and allowing KTR to put up the show. But then last week is definitely bad for KTR. We have seen him facing the brunt of the people in Hyderabad as incessant rains hit the city.

Even before KTR could get over that, he faced heat himself in own constituency, Siricilla. This is because of the government’s decision of not making it a district. We have seen agitators warning KTR not to enter Sircilla without making it a district. A JAC formed with the district demand has attacked KTR’s convoy near Lingapur when the Minister is on the way to Sircilla.

They tried to damage the vehicles of the convoy but Police got alerted and took the situation in control by lathi charge. KTR got down from his vehicle and tried to convince them by saying that Sircilla can not be made a district due to some geographical issues. But then they would not listen and continued to show their angst on him. Left with no option, KTR left the place amidst high security. This is the first time, KTR facing a backlash in his own constituency.
