Even though the by-election is happening in CM’s own district – Kadapa, Sajjala says the by-election is not a referendum to Jagan’s Government. “The demised MLA’s wife will be YSRCP’s candidate. We already prepared the action plan for the Badvel constituency,” Sajjala said.
“CM Jagan will review the by-election very soon. We are not bothered if TDP will contesting or not. We have seen what happened in the Tirupati by-election. We already executed all the promises made in our manifesto. But this election is not a referendum on our Government. I don’t think so one election will reflect the mood of the public. We will try to ensure other parties do not tamper with people’s opinions by illegal ways (money, liquor, etc).,” he added.
There is a discussion in political circles about why Sajjala refuses to call it a referendum when the ruling party is so confident of the victory. The polling for Badvel By-election will happen on October 30th and the results will be out on November 2nd.
