Balayya’s Victory is Not As Simple As it Appears

Telugu Desam Party has ended with a humiliating loss in the just concluded Elections. The party has just ended up with 23 MLAs and 3 MPs. None of the leaders including Chandrababu Naidu managed to improve their 2014 Majorities. But Balakrishna managed to improve his 2014 majority and this has come as a surprise to everyone.

Balayya has been in the Bad Press all these years next only to another controversial MLA, Chintamaneni Prabhakar. Everyone is certain of Balakrishna’s loss but he sprang a surprise. Many even today say this win is due to TDP’s Strong forte, Hindupur but this is an election where several such strongholds gave up to Jagan’s Wave.

Balakrishna continued films even after winning Hindupur. The people in the constituency says he is their best MLA even when they consider Legend NTR and Harikrishna who represented the constituency. Immediately winning the election, Balayya made a list of the Poor in the constituency and constantly reviewed if or not various welfare schemes are reaching them.

Roads and basic infrastructure of Hindupur got improved and Balayya also made a genuine effort to solve the drinking water problem which prevalent for years. In the first couple of years, a Personal Assistant appointed by Balayya made a complete mess in the constituency.

After ousting him, Balayya took total control of the constituency and took feedback from various leaders of the constituency constantly on phone. He never allowed the mistake to repeat and every time he went to the constituency, he went on meeting people and listen to them. Media focused on the bad parts which are certainly not good testimonies of Balayya’s character and ignore his good work.
