Telangana politics have found a new cornerstone material in the form of the underage sexual assault allegations against Bandi Bhageerath. This youngster is currently evading Police action while his legal team fights the case at Telangana High Court.
But the interesting thing is that the Telangana High Court has refused the petition filed by Bhageerath’s counsel to grant interim bail.
The High Court rejected the petition filed by the accused in this case as he was refused the interim bail order. This would keep him prone to Telangana police action, and there could be any significant development at any given point in time now.
Adding to this Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy has also advised Bandi Sanjay to surrender his son before things get out of hand. The chief minister had a very strong tone while addressing this topic.
With an opposing outcome in the court and the chief minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy himself invested in the case, Bandi Bhageerath might have to come under the radar shortly.
There is a parallel social media narrative that is being built against the victim, saying she is not underage like the claimed earlier in the case. But this would not stand legal precedent in the high court and that’s the point of difference here.
