Driver Runs Away with Vehicle Carrying 1.3 Crore of New Currency

The driver of a van transporting 1.3 crore cash for an ATM in Bengaluru gone missing today. This cash was of the new currency which was supposed to be taken to an ATM for dispensing.

Reports say that the driver was a contract employee and had to collect more cash from the bank of India from where he drove away. There is the possibility of tracking the lost cash with the serial numbers as officers say, while the driver was not found yet.

Firstly, people are still waiting for the cash to be available in ATMs for the withdrawal, also, there is so much going on with the government to make these cash crunch situations better, and now such incidents are adding fuel to the fire of scarcity of new notes.
