BARC has released the news channel ratings for Week 3 of 2026. In the 15+ age group across all genders, TV9 and NTV continue to dominate as table toppers.
However, the wide gap between TV9 and NTV has surprised many industry observers. Despite both leading the charts, TV9 enjoys a significantly higher viewership.
Industry experts believe this difference is driven largely by viewer habits. TV9 appears to have understood audience preferences better than its competitors.
In the overall rankings, TV5 secured the third position, followed by ABN in fourth place. Sakshi TV stood at seventh position.
Regional data from Hyderabad shows a slightly different trend. TV9 and ABN occupied the top two positions in the city.
TV5, V6, Sakshi TV, and NTV followed in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth positions respectively. The rankings highlight how regional viewing patterns continue to influence news channel performance.
